Slow Flow+ Vinyasa

Leia’s classes begin with SATYA yoga, a yin-style mindful movement in preparation for flow class.

Her vinyasa classes are steady, graceful, yet strong and include standing and balancing poses. The vinyasa classes emphasize technique while working toward a peak pose.

Leia’s Slow Flow classes move at a gentler pace and stretch the body overall to prioritize a meditative mind.

She weaves together eastern philosophy and self-inquiry. Her classes leave you feeling both energetic and grounded.

SATYA Yoga

Leia studied the subtle body practice of SATYA yoga at Prajna Yoga located in Santa Fe, NM. This is a flowing yin style practice on the ground which warms up our body for deeper work.

“Prajna Yoga…designed a unique body of work to support ease, joy, and flow in the body. SATYA (Somatic Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement) is like a combination of dance, yin yoga, Feldenkrais, and myofascial release. This practice reduces fatigue by filling the body with prana.” - Prajna Yoga

Leia weaves this meditative modality into her classes to gently stretch while supporting the contemplative mind and easeful heart.

REstorative Yoga

At Prajna Yoga, Leia studied “The Art of Healing” in which the “key to using the postures therapeutically was to adapt the pose to fit the needs of the individual.” The nervous system is soothed and the mind is quieted through the use of supportive props and passive stretching.

The class opens with SATYA yoga for blood flow and lymphatic movement. This is followed by 4-5 long-held supported postures with hands-on-assists.
